Nagaland Olympic Association to commemorate Olympic Day

Dimapur, June 13 (EMN): The Nagaland Olympic Association will join the global sports fraternity in commemorating the Olympic Day at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima on June 25.

An update from the NOA informed that the day will be held on the theme “Together for a peaceful world” and provide a platform to spread the message of peace, unity and oneness through sporting ambassadors and the youths of the state.

The NOA further invited individuals, educational institutions, government and NGOs to join in the races to be held in the categories of – 600m for officials and invited dignitaries (men and women), 800m for veterans (men and women), 400m (U-12 boys and girls), 800m (U-14 boys and girls), 800m (U-16 boys and girls) and 1500m (open category men and women).

It informed that all participants will be awarded with participation certificates, while the top five winners in all categories will be awarded with merit certificates. There is no entry fee and the last date of entry is on June 23.
