Rio to inaugurate government polytechnic in Longleng

Dimapur, Dec. 16 (EMN): Nagaland Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio, will inaugurate the Government Polytechnic in Hukpang under Longleng district on December 17. The Government Polytechnic has been set up by the department of Technical Education. A DIPR report stated that minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, and the advisor of Technical Education and Technical Education, Medo Yhokha, would be the host and co-host respectively.

NMA congratulates Neidonuo Angami

Dimapur, Dec. 16 (EMN): Naga Mothers’ Association (NMA) has congratulated its former president and founding member, Padma Shree Neidonuo Angami, on conferring the ‘A Kevichusa Citizenship Award 2022.” “We celebrate your achievements and appreciate the amazing women you are. This award once again proved your hard work and commitment towards bringing social justice in the Naga society was not in vain,” a NMA press release stated. The association has thanked The Kevichusa Foundation for the acknowledgment given to its former president and further wished good health and success to Neidonuo Angami.

DC Zunheboto informs arms license holders

Dimapur, Dec. 16 (EMN): In view of the upcoming general election to Nagaland Legislative Assembly 2023, the deputy commissioner of Zunheboto has informed all concerned arms license holders to deposit them at the nearest police station on or before January 20 as per provisions of the Representation of Peoples Act 1951. He cautioned that necessary action would be initiated against anybody found carrying firearms after January 20, 2023.

FCI updates on food stock

Dimapur, Dec. 16 (EMN): Food Corporation of India (FCI), regional office, Dimapur, informed that sufficient rice stocks are available in central pool to meet the requirement of NFSA and other schemes of government of India as well as for the additional requirement of PMGKAY for the state of Nagaland. It informed that an approximate 44684 MT of rice is available in the central pool which is well above the buffer norms/ operation requirements on December 13.
