Dimapur, June 24 (EMN): The youth ministry of Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) has called upon all its member churches to observe the ‘NBCC youth prayer and fasting and Youth Sunday’ on July 2 and 3 on the theme “Stand firm in the truth” (Eph. 6:10-17).
It mentioned that the NBCC youth day was first observed on July 4, 1982, in the history of NBCC and added that the day is observed on every first Sunday of July since then. The purpose of observing the day was to let young people come together to pray for NBCC youth ministry and to worship together on Sunday morning with creative programmes, an update from NBCC youth ministry stated.
It informed that the youth ministry would organise the youth prayer and fasting on July 2 and Youth Sunday on July 3. It added that prayer points have already been disseminated to the churches and fellowships through the respective associations.
The NBCC youth secretary, N Suhuto Chishi, has appealed to all the Naga congregations under NBCC in and outside of Nagaland to observe the two-day programmes and seek blessings from God and celebrate His goodness.
