Nagaland: Look beyond white collar jobs, youths told

Dimapur, Feb. 28 (EMN): Zhoi Lohe, SDO (C) Phek, has made a clarion call to the youths to look beyond white collar jobs, and start recognising one’s own talent by honing it in order to avail diverse opportunities in life.

Lohe was speaking at the district youth convention-cum-cultural programme for the youth of Phek at DPDP hall in Phek town on Wednesday as the guest speaker, informed an update from the Nerhu Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) Phek, under whose aegis the event was conducted.

Addressing the young minds from various clubs, colonies, villages and student unions under Phek, Lohe cited the an example of a BCom graduate who became an entrepreneur by running a  humble shoe repairing shop and was bagged “Red Carpet Social award” and challenged the participants to emulate and learn a lesson from him.

It’s high time to abandon idleness and comfort zone, take up your role and excel in life, he said.

Accountant Liasou and district youth coordinator (DYC) Phek Rebecca also spoke at the event. Satsan Krotho Sohomi, Kutsapo women cultural group presented a folk song and Adosa Nuwiry also performed a song before sports materials were given away to youth clubs.
