Dimapur, May 29 (EMN): As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the department of Agriculture has highlighted on the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PMKSN) in supporting the farming families by giving INR 6000 per year in three equal installments.
Under this, the fund is directly transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries/ farmers by the Ministry of Agriculture, government of India, a DIPR report stated.
It mentioned that a total of 2,13,605 farmers from Nagaland have received an amount of INR 337,42,08,000 as on March 4, 2022 (10th installment). It informed that the total beneficiaries registered as in May 2022 was 2,04,477. The e- KYC done so far against the total registered beneficiaries was 1,42,278 (70% of the total registered farmers).
Report further stated that the 11th installment would be released by the Ministry on May 31 by organising a nationwide interaction of beneficiaries in commemoration with AKAM celebration.
