Dimapur, May 2 (EMN): Nagaland Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio have extended Eid greetings to the Muslim community in the state.

“Eid festival, also known as the festival of breaking the fast signifies the end of the month-long dawn-to-sunset fasting of Ramazan. The celebration is marked by offering religious devotion and observing discipline. It is also a time to relish traditional delicacies, exchanging gifts and offering charity” read the governor’s greetings.

“On this occasion, I wish you all with good health, peace and happy celebrations,” he added.

Rio also took to Twitter to greet the Muslim community on the auspicious day.

‘Greetings to our Muslim brothers and sisters on the occasion of Eid ul-Fitr. It marks the culmination of the holy month of Ramadan, a month of fasting and prayer. May your prayers be answered and your household be happy and blessed,’ he wrote.
