Nagaland government announces Unlock-5 till September 2
Kohima, Aug. 16 (EMN): The government of Nagaland on Monday announced ‘Unlock-5’ starting from August 19 to September 2 with further relaxation to lockdown restrictions imposed to curb the spread of Covid-19.
The decision was taken by the High Powered Committee (HPC) on Covid-19 just days before the Unlock-4 expires on Wednesday.
The state government’s spokesperson on Covid-19, Mmhomlumo Kikon, who is also the advisor of Information and Communication, Science and Technology and NRE, took to Twitter to announce the HPC’s decision to ease lockdown restrictions.
He announced 100 % attendance for government officers and 50% for other government employees during the 25-day Unlock-5 period. He added that gymnasiums could open with 50% attendance.
He went on to inform that Covid vaccination rate in the state is 51% and positivity rate is 4.52%
