Nagaland Govenor confers meritorious awards

Recipients of various awards are seen during the 72nd Republic Day celebration at Nagaland Civil Secretariat Plaza in Kohima on Tuesday.

Nagaland Governor, RN Ravi, has conferred awards to various personalities in different disciplines including NGOs from different districts on the occasion of Republic Day celebration held at the Nagaland Civil Secretariat Plaza in the state capital on Tuesday .

On the occasion, nine persons were conferred the Governor’s Gold Medal for efficiency in their services.

The recipients included T Tsenpemo Kikon, ACP (HQ); Noklem Konyak, havildar of 9th NAP Battalion (IR), Saijang; Thungbemo Patton, assistant resident commissioner (ARC), Nagaland House; Reny Wilfred, ADC Kiphire; Zeneikho Suohumvü, head driver from the office of Controller of Legal Metrology and Consumer Protection (LMCP); M Yambemo Humtsoe, SDPO Error! Filename not specified., Kohima; K Thavaseelan, deputy commissioner of Mon; Thejavizo Nakhro, EAC, Chumukedima; and Vilelie Khamo, contractor.

Both Lemsachenlok Society from Yaongyimchen village in Longleng (NGO) and North East Initiative Development Agency (NEIDA), also received the prestigious awards for their dedicated service in the society.

During the celebration, Liremo Tsopoe Lotha, IGP (Training and Border), was awarded the President’s Police Medal for distinguished service during 2020.

Meanwhile, five police personnel were also awarded with the President’s Medal for meritorious service during last year. The recipients are S Tokiumong YIM, IGP (NAP); Chuba Walling, deputy commandant of 9th NAP (IR) battalion; UBI Rishamo Philip Yanthan of DEF Mokokcung; while each award also went to Atu Zumvu, deputy superintendent of police (SB) Dimapur, and UBI Kevisebile Angami from PTS Chumoukedima, for their meritorious service during 2019.

During the presentation of awards, the Swachh Award 2020 under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs was also given to Mokokchung for being the cleanest city in North-East Zone (population category 25-50k) in Swacch Survekshan.

Pfutsero won the award for being the best city in Innovation and Best Practices-North-East Zone (population category upto to 25k) and Chümoukedima for being the best self-sustainable city (based on GFC/ODF/Cost vs Revenue) in North East Zone (population category 25-50k).

The best performing hospitals under Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) for the year 2020 were also given away during the event.

The award for best performing district hospital (DH) was conferred to Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK), best performing community health centre (CHC) award went to CHC, Noklak, best performing primary health centre (PHC) was won by Changlangshu, while Christian Institute of Health Sciences and Research (CIHSR), Dimapur, received the award for best performing private hospital.

Meanwhile, the Governor’s commendation certificates were also given away to various persons in different disciplines for being proficient in their service.

This year’s Governor’s commendation certificates were handed over to Y Tumchobemo Yanthan, additional superintendent of police, Wokha; ASI Itokhu Sumi from commissionerate of police, Dimapur; Neivotuo Tsuhah, steno Grade-1, from Nagaland Legislative Assembly, UBSI Athiubo Zeliang, under commissionerate of police Dimapur; ASI Mezhuvito Angami under commissionerate of police Dimapur; Imnasowa, peon from Administrative Training Institute (ATI); Er. Lanuakum Ao, from the office of chief engineer PWD (NH); Avino Peseyie, graduate teacher from GHSS, Chümoukedima; Lithrila Sangtam, EAC, Aboi; HA Hongnao Kinyak, social worker from Longchang village in Mon district; Vipral Tase, inspector of Excise under assistant commissioner of of Excise (Zonal), Kohima.

The same certificates were also given away to B Nellavappan, assistant director of School Education; Dr. Naieem Mustafa Mansury, DCP Zone-1, Dimapur; UBSI Imlikokba from DEF Mokokchung.
