The office of Nagaland Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) has issued guidelines pertaining to webcasting for the ensuing Nagaland Legislative Assembly election scheduled on February 27.

An update from CEO’s office stated that close circuit television (CCTV) surveillance should be installed in all the critical/ vulnerable polling stations across the state with either webcasting or videography. It informed that a minimum of 50% of polling stations in each district are being covered.

It added that camera should be mounted in the polling station at sufficient height and be placed to cover the maximum possible area in the polling station without compromising the secrecy of vote.

It also stated that camera should clearly capture and transmit the following aspects of the poll proceedings such as mock poll, process of identification of voter by polling officer, application of indelible ink on the finger of the voter. Dimapur, Feb. 23 (EMN)
