Dimapur, Aug. 30 (EMN): Office of the Superintendent of Police, in collaboration with the Pfutsero Town Traders’ Union (PTTU) installed a full high definition (HD) night vision CCTV camera at the two main traffic points in Pfutsero town. The facility is also backed up by battery to give 24 hour surveillance.

An update from PTTU president, Zuwete Mero, stated that the CCTV cameras were installed to ensure the standard level of security of the people and also with an aim to make Pfutsero to be the safest and most peaceful town in the state. The CCTV cameras would help the law enforcement agencies obtain vital clues, maintain law and order in the town.

Installation of the CCTV cameras would serve as a deterrent to criminals and anyone carrying out illegal activities in the town.

The SDPO Pfutsero also stated that it would set a good example for other districts to emulate.
