Dimapur, July 5 (EMN): A five-day freshers’ week of C-Edge College concluded with a grand finale at GK auditorium on July 5.
The finale event began with a prayer followed by a welcome speech and pledge of allegiance administered by Er. Moa Aier, president of the college.
The guest speaker and Editor-in-chief of Nagaland Today, Bano Haralu, motivated the students with her thoughts and experiences. She exhorted the students on the role they could play to love and conserve the nature so as to live a sustainable life. She also shared her thoughts on the influence of technology- its importance and demerits.
Avitoli G Achumi and Mughava Sumi were crowned Mr and Miss Fresher 2019, while Inalu and Chulliam were declared as the runners-up. The other awards included Mr and Miss Best Ethnic wear and Mr and Miss Talent.
Mr and Miss Freshers were selected based on the auditions which included introduction session, ethnic round, talent round and the grand finale with question and answer round.
The event was chaired by Abigail Keyho of BA V semester, while a duet was presented by Peuningle and Yukholi of BA V semester and BBA-III.
Speech on behalf of the seniors and freshers were delivered by Talimongla of BA III semester and Lyingbeni of BA-I semester respectively.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Angukali Yeptho, CECESF general secretary.
