Dimapur, Sep. 13 (EMN): Academic and Administrative Audit (AAA) team consisting of three eminent academicians — led by Dr. Watijungshi, retired Additional Director of Higher Education as convenor; Husazu Epao, principal of Patkai Christian College; and Dr. PS Lorin, principal of Tetso College, as members — visited the Dimapur Government College on September 12 as a state-level audit committee in anticipation of the 2nd cycle of NAAC assessment which is due in 2020.
During the programme, the college principal Kavili Jakhalu presented report on the college profile, academic results of the last four years, fund and infrastructure enhancement undertaken after the first cycle. It was followed with a presentation by Dr. Vitsosie Vupru, IQAC coordinator, who deliberated on the seven AQAR (Annual Quality Assurance Report) criteria and also on the academic enhancement undertaken after the first cycle. Departmental reports were presented by the heads of all departments including DGC RUSA Monitoring Cell and Community college.
The team also had an interactions with the students, faculty and staff. It was followed by physical verification of accounts and establishment sections, exam branch, DGC Students’ Council office, classrooms etc.
An exit meeting, chaired by the IQAC coordinator, was held with the principal, IQAC members, HoDs, senior HA and DGC Students’ Council members where the team members shared some key observations and made suggestions for improvement.
A song was presented by Lanukaba and the concluding remarks were shared by the principal. The event ended with the report writing by the AAA team.
