Dimapur, May 15: The 36th Mother’s Day celebration cum second sisters and in-laws get-together of the Phek Village Baptist Church (PVBC) was held on May 7 and 8 on the theme ‘A gracious mother.’

Speaking on the occasion, Zashetalu Chiero, former treasurer of Chakhesang Women Welfare Society (CWWS), said a mother is an inspirational element in structuring the family to bring up the entire family members to an acceptable and trustworthy environment. Stating that possessing the quality of humility, patience and loyalty in women would play a key role in transforming the society, she urged the gathering to equip with the noble qualities and be part of the process in changing the society.

Expressing happiness over the mass participation of sisters and in-laws from different parts of the State, she said it is a milestone achievement for the women department of the church. She appealed the women department to continue to organize such programme in order to maintain cordial relationship.
