Raise doubts over New Delhi’s sincerity and political will to solve Indo-Naga issue

Dimapur, Sep. 24 (EMN): The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) will be organising a rally at the national capital on Wednesday in collaboration with the Naga Students’ Union Delhi (NSUD) to reiterate to the Government of India and the NSCN (IM) the principles of the framework agreement, which recognises “India and Nagalim as two separate political entities”.

According to a press release from the organisers, the decision has been taken against the backdrop of the prime minister’s advice to RN Ravi to find solution in three months’ time “within the Constitution of India; which directly negates the principle of the framework agreement signed between the G0I and the NSCN (IM).”

The rally will commence at 2 pm from Mandi House and culminate at Parliament Street on September 25, it informed.

The NSF further mentioned that the agreement was signed between India and Nagalim with an understanding “based on the principles of shared sovereignty” and to find a solution for the “peaceful coexistence of the two entities”.

“Therefore, the NSF as the custodian of the Nagas’ future is compelled to question the sincerity and political vision of the Government of India in resolving the protracted Indo-Naga conflict which has caused immense suffering and cost lives to both the parties,” the statement said.
