Dimapur, Sep. 30 (EMN): The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has expressed disappointment over the decision of the All Nagaland Ad hoc Teachers’ Group (ANATG) 2015 batch to intensify its agitation by resorting to indefinite hunger strike to protest the government’s inaction to regularise their service.

In a press release, the student body stated that the decision, which came after days of sit-in, didn’t augur well with the student community who are already deprived of learning due to the absence of teachers from their places of posting due to the ongoing agitation.

“In light of the same, the federation appeals to the agitating teachers to re-consider their mode of protest against the government’s inaction while not compromising the teaching-learning process,” read the press release.

The NSF also appealed to the state government and the department concerned to “objectively look into the matter and bring about the desired solution without further delay”. ‘The continued stalemate between the two parties with the authorities concerned treading lightly on the issue is only aggravating the situation with the student community at the receiving end,’ it added.
