Dimapur, July 25 (EMN): The Naga Mothers’ Association (NMA) has appealed to all its units and concerned citizens, irrespective of affiliations, to join the ‘Naga Solidarity Walk’ scheduled to be held on July 28 and 29.

Extending solidarity to the Global Naga Forum’s (GNF) initiative, NMA in a press release said the walk under the theme “One People, One Destiny” will be a peaceful walk for unity across artificial barriers.

“As Nagas, we are going through one of the most trying times with suspicion, hatred and diverse mindsets. We fervently urge upon all to rise above this feeling of tribalism, which continues to be the root cause of our division,” NMA said.

It also said that the time has come for Nagas to unite and stand committed to “our goals as one people, because a divided house can never stand strong.”

NMA further said that as mothers, they strongly believe that peace and unity need to be nurtured and activated in its fullest form.

“Your support and participation in this historic and significant event will carry the message of ‘One People, One Destiny’ loud and clear,” NMA added.
