Dimapur, Jan. 11 (EMN): Naga Bowl Bakery, an extension of Naga Bowl, was launched on Tuesday in Dimapur with the pastor of Dimapur Ao Baptist Arogo (DABA), Rev. Lima Jamir, offering the dedicatory prayer.
The bakery proprietor, Alemjunla Jamir, informed that they would be using the Naga ingredients in its bakery items.
Informing that the bakery was set up with an aim to create job opportunities for the unemployed youth, she said they would employ and train the youth.
The pastry chef and co-owner of the bakery, Loni Khing, who had worked in Mumbai and New York in the past, expressed optimism that their new initiative would give hope to the unemployed youth of the state. While pointing out the lack of safety and food hygiene in the market today, she informed that they would focus on the hygiene and thus change the perspective of people who consider bakeries as a “dirty place.”
She further asserted that they would train the Naga youth on the skills to bake as well as encourage them to shift towards self-enterprise.
“We want to give more opportunities to the Naga youth and also train them about work ethics,” she maintained.
