Murder accused dies in hospital

Dimapur, Sep. 18 (EMN): One of the accused persons in the Kohima taxi driver murder case has died in police custody.
Thirty-one year old, Daniel Yimchunger, one of the three persons arrested by Kohima police in connection with the murder passed away at District Hospital, Dimapur around 8 pm Monday.
A doctor from the hospital said that he was brought in “having breathing problems and vomiting” from Central Jail, Dimapur around 5.30 pm. it was reported that the accused persons were transferred to Central Jail, Dimapur in the aftermath of a mob storming a police station in Kohima.
Jail authorities could not be contacted for further details.
