Dimapur, November 29: Municipal Affairs Department has decided to keep in abeyance creation of three wards under the Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) namely Marepkong Ward, Mongsenphai Ward and Lijabalijen Ward.
The Cabinet has now decided to add the above mentioned wards to the Mokokchung Municipal Council in its meeting held on November 18. This was communicated by the Cabinet Cell vide No. CAB-2/2013 dated 19/11/2016.
In this regard, the Governor has ordered revocation of the notification No. UDD/ MAC- 7/ 2009 dated 31/01/2012, whereby the creation of the three wards concerned under MMC has been kept in abeyance.
