More than 2.56 lakh household toilets built in Nagaland

Dimapur, Jan. 28(EMN): A total of 2,56,153 (2.56 lakh) household toilets have been built in Nagaland state till January 27, 2022 under Swachh Bharat Mission-Gramin.
As many as 1,451 villages in the state have been declared open defecation-free (ODF) but only 1,433 villages have been verified as ODF, according to the data provided on Chief Minister’s dashboard.
The total number of rural households and the number of household toilets built is the same, it stated.
The district-wise number of rural households as on January 27, 2022, was 38,354 in Dimapur, Kohima 25,607, Mokokchung 25,931, Mon 29,620, Phek 29,751, Tuensang 28,888, Wokha 12,256, Zunheboto 27,985, Peren 13,482, Kiphire 16,180 and Longleng 8,094.
Meanwhile, Dimapur district has maximum ODF-verified villages with 237 villages being verified of the 241 declared as ODF, while all the 50 villages in Longleng declared as ODF have been verified.
