More condemns murder of police inspector

Dimapur, Sep. 19 (EMN): The chorus of condemnation over the murder of Late Neiphretuo Metsie-o, police inspector of 5th NAP, whose dead body was recovered on Sep. 17 continues as different organisation on Wed. sent in letters of condemnation and condolences to the media houses. Late. Metsie-o went missing on Sep. 7 and his decomposed body was recovered on Sep. 17 in Phek district. Two accused — Yuireingam Ronra Shimray and Ringthingchon — have been arrested and are currently under police custody.

In separate press notes, the Lotha Hoho (apex organisation of the Lotha community), the ‘Public of Pfutsero Area’, Nagaland Peace Centre and the Dimasa Public Organisation Nagaland all strongly condemned the murder of the police officer.

The organisations demanded the law enforcing agencies to award the most stringent of punishment to the two culprits involved in the crime. They also appreciated the police for nabbing the culprits within no time and also the public for assisting the law enforcing agencies in solving the crime.

The organisations further extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.
