Monsoon session of Nagaland Legislative Assembly adjourned sine die

Kohima, Aug. 5 (EMN): Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) Speaker, Sharingain Longkumer on Thursday adjourned the 8th session of the 13th NLA sine die, bringing an end to the two-day monsoon session.
The Assembly session began on Tuesday amid Covid-19 pandemic, with a recess on Wednesday.
The Speaker adjourned the House after passing a resolution on the Assam-Nagaland border issue.
“It was a ‘fruitful’ session as the House could complete all the business listed. In the two-day session, effective and meaningful discussions could be taken up. The House could also read 19 starred and eight unstarred questions,” Longkumer said in his concluding remark.
‘It is a matter of satisfaction that despite of the pandemic, all the members could attend the session,’ he said while commending various departments for their help and support.
The House was adjourned in the presence of the leader of the house and other members.
