Mokokchung exports rubber sheets to Assam

Mokokchung, Aug. 17 (EMN): The department of Land Resources sent-off 15 tons of natural rubber sheet to neighbouring Assam state from Anakiyimsen village in Mokokchung district on August 16.

The consignment was sent-off in the presence of ADC Tuli, Shaying Sheu, and the district project officer of Land Resources, Dr. Sashiyangba.

In a telephonic conversation, Dr. Sashiyangba informed that 15 tons of natural rubber are produced from Anakiyimsen and surrounding areas every 15 days. He stated that rubbers are collected from the rubber growers’ society by a genuine middle-man, who segregates the rubber quality and exports the product.

He also disclosed that in Mokokchung district alone around 100-200 tons of natural rubber sheets are produced in a month.
