Meghalaya-Assam firing: Slained Forest official cremated

Diphu, Nov. 25 (EMN): The mortal remains of Forest Home Guard, Bidyasing Lekthe, who was killed in a mob clash on November 22 at Mokroh under Jerikinding police station, West Karbi Anglong, was cremated on Friday.

Earlier, the funeral programme of late Lekthe held under the supervision of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), where a host of KAAC members, district administration, forest officials and students’ bodies and social organizations, attended the funeral service held at Jaluk Langteng in West Karbi Anglong.

Karbi Anglong police also presented a guard of honor and gun salute before the mortal remains of the slained Forest guard was taken to the cremation ground.
