MDBA felicitates winners of inter district and state badminton championship 2017

Mokokchung, August 2 (EMN): Mokokchung District Badminton Association (MDBA) felicitated its members who were successful in the recently concluded Yonex-Sunrise 41st Inter-district and State open badminton championship 2017 during its fund raising buffet at Mokokchung badminton Stadium on Wednesday.
Along with the felicitation programme there was an MDBA member doubles playoff and an open family badminton championship where Sashiwapang and Akangmeren defeated Er. Philip and Rev Wati 21-10, 21-15 in straight sets to bag the MDBA members doubles title.
In the open family badminton championship category where fourteen families participated, Imosanen and Watisangla emerged victorious by defeating Arentemsu and her daughter Yalimenla 17-2, 21-15, 21-13 to win the championship.
The program was chaired by Er. Imlisunep and Amenla, Asso pastor (W), Alempang Baptist Church offered the invocation. Short speeches were also delivered by Toshikaba, President MDBA and I. Lipokonen Jamir, Executive member MDBA.
