Maradona Kshetrimayum wins 60th Mr. Manipur contest

Imphal, Dec. 5 (EMN): Twenty-eight-year-old body builder Maradona Kshetrimayum of Muscle factory Kakching was crowned Mr. Manipur title in the 60th Mr. Manipur 2022 contest by the All Manipur Body Builders Association (AMBBA) in Imphal.

Kshetrimayum, a resident of Kakching Makha Leikai in Manipur’s Kakching district went home richer with INR 4.8 lakh worth of Maruti Alto after defeating his rival body builders, which ended at Bhagyachandra Open Air Theatre in Imphal here on Sunday.

The second and third positions of the competition went to Melson Nongmeikapam of Royal Gym Ningomthong and Konthoujam Arnold of Manipur Police Sports Club(MPSC), and received INR 50,000 and INR 30,000 respectively.

Chingkheinganba Athokpam of Royal Fitness Academy emerged junior overall first to take away a Bullet (Motorcycle) worth INR 1.5 lakh in the championship while Arubam Anganba Meitei of Humanity Plus Gym, Kangleison Ningombam of Royal Gym, Sachidananda Leimapokpam of Sedo Gym-Hiyanglam, Hijam Telheiba of United Gym Manipur and N Nonghish-Nganba of Royal Gym secured the top five positions in the 60 kg category competition.

In the 65 kg category competition, Sakibur Yumkhaibam of RCC emerged on top followed by Th Johnson Singh of Humanity Plus, Taorem Sanatomba of Friend Fitness Gym, M Barnold of Lainingthou Pangamba Gym and Th Ritesh of LA Son’s Gym. Longjam Eillison of Friend Fitness Gym finished first in the 70 kg category followed by Th Marco of The Gym Retro, W Boicha of Friend Fitness Gym, Thokchom Yaisana of Royal Gym and Athokpam Arbinda of Royal Fitness Academy.

Rivaldo Athokpam of RCC emerged first in the junior 75 kg category competition as RK Mojesh of Apunba Fitness Clan, Rockyson Yanglem of Trainers and Trainees Gym and Irandas Takhellambm of KB gym secured second, third and fourth places respectively, while the above 75 kg category’s title went to Chingkheinganba Athokpam of Royal Fitness Academy as Khwairakpam Simon of Manipur Fitness Club, Saratlunminthang Touthang of Paka Memorial Gym, Ngashepam Dasobanta of RCC and Nivarshan Mainam secured the following four places.

Women’s bodybuilding competition

Engudam Kavita of Friend Fitness Gym claimed the women’s bodybuilding title as Leishangthem Sarita of Royal Fitness Academy and Karishma Chingangbam of Super Gym Khurai finished second and third respectively.

The winners (in order) received cash prizes of INR 50,000; INR 30,000; INR 15,000; INR 10,000 and INR 7,000 besides medals, trophies, certificates, food supplements and gift hampers.

In the differently-able category, Naorem Jayanta of Royal Fitness Academy emerged on top as Ahongsangbam Nanao of Bishnu Gym, Arveenkumar Oinamcha and Th Robin finished second, third and fourth respectively. The winners (in order) received cash prizes of INR 30,000; INR 15,000; INR 10,000; and INR 7,000 respectively along with medals, trophies, certificates, food supplements and gift hampers.

In the master’s competition for 40-50 years age group, B Bedakumar Sharma of Friend Fitness Centre, Chingthang Nambam of Humanity Plus Gym and Rajesh Soibam of The Oriental Gym won the top three places as Heisnam Flood Mangang of X-Fitness, Nameirakpam Ojit of Lifestyle Fitness Gym and Lukram Kiran of Pakhangbam Gym secured the top three positions in 50-60 years category.
