LYH, LSU resolve to shutdown telecom offices

Dimapur, July 4 (EMN): Accusing the telecom service providers of failing to uphold their commitment to provide quality service, the Lotha Youth Hoho (LYH) and Lotha Students’ Union (LSU) have decided to completely shut down the offices within Wokha district on July 4 and 5.

The decision to this effect was taken during the joint meeting of LYH and LSU on June 29. The members decided that appropriate measure would be initiated in the absence of any positive response from the telecom service providers, the joint media cell stated.

It mentioned that the companies had, on August 4 and October 19, 2020, assured to provide good services to the consumers which was not address to till date. It added that in order to appropriately respond to the telecom companies, the offices of LYH and LSU initiated a public poll through social media wherein the consumers urged the two offices to completely shut down the towers and offices of the telecom service providers.

Meanwhile, LYH and LSU have sought the cooperation of all the consumers and to bear with the inconveniences during the shutdown period. LYH and LSU further affirmed its commitment to work for the common good of all.
