Dimapur, May 13 (EMN): A suspected low-intensity crude bomb exploded at the Dimapur Gas Agency in Midland on Saturday morning at around 10:15 a.m.
According to officials of the West Police station there was no casualty nor was anyone injured in the blast. The blast was low in intensity and suspected to be of a handmade crude bomb. Four nails were recovered at the site. No damage to property was also reported.
According to the manager of Dimapur Gas Agency who was not present at the time of the incident, it is suspected that some unidentified miscreants may have placed the supposed crude bomb at the office counter.
Fortunately the staffers of the gas agency were in the other room of the office when the incident took place. It was informed that the gas agency did not have any ‘record of extortion.’
There was no eyewitness to the incident, police officials said. The case is under investigation.
