I have seen and heard a thousand stories about love-Familial love, lovers love, friends love.
The intense feelings of tangible and experiential longing for the loved,
If these wonders of love and affection could drive humans to act in the noblest act to the person loved,
Such love must be the defining attributes of the one we worship and adore.
He chose to empty Himself of all his glory to love the unlovable and undeserved,
He sought to bring back the strayed and lostin exchange for His own life.
Never once did He betrayed the ones who abandoned Him,
He humbled himself to the limitation of poor creatures to bring to fruition the Salvation of sinners.
His birth shows the infinitude of His love for a fallen human race,
Born of a woman to crush the serpent’s head!
Can finite beings grapple the infinite character of such supreme Love?
Not in a million years! Were we to count the sands on the sea shore, it would not suffice to outnumber this love He possesses.
The stars in the cosmos or the Great Sea do not for one milli-sec stand to equalize this amazing love that God demonstrated in His Son for the world.
He does this to prove His love for us!
Truly a love redefined.
Will we ever reject such a love for something ignoble and earthly?
Will we trade this precious Love for gold and silver?
He paid the price and substituted on our behalf the rightful penalty.
In return, He longs for a reciprocal love in cherishing, enjoying, and desiring Him forever and ever, Amen.
