Lohe wins stilt bamboo walk competition

Kohima, Dec. 5 (EMN): Ngorayi Lohe representing the Chakhesang tribe emerged as the winner of the bamboo stilt walking competition held at the Amphitheater, Kisama, on day-5 of the Hornbill Festival.

Lohe was awarded INR 6000. Tachiho of Pochury won second position and Ketholel Noho representing Angami tribe bagged the third place. The two winners received INR 4000 and INR 2000 respectively.

Organised by the department of Youth Resources & Sports, stilt bamboo walking is a traditional game held annually at Kisama as part of the Hornbill festival.

A total 11 tribes participated in this year competition.
