Dimapur, Feb. 14 (EMN): The third session of the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly will commence from February 21 and continue till the 26th. Updates from the DIPR on Thursday stated the list of assembly business that will be conducted during the session.
The Business Advisory Committee held a meeting on February 12 in the assembly committee room. The meeting was presided over by speaker in-charge of Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Zhaleo Rio.
The committee finalised the provisional programme for the third session of the 13th assembly. The committee has decided to hold the session on the 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 25th and the 26th of February, the DIPR stated.
During the session, a number of activities will be taken up. They are the Governor’s Address, obituary references, moving the Motion of
Thanks to the Governor’s Address; and questions session. Likewise, there will be presentation of annual administrative reports; introduction of government bills; and presentation of Supplementary Demand for Grants for the year 2018-2019;
Further, there will be the Debate on the Motion of Thanks to the Governor’s Address and adoption; Consideration and passing of government bills; discussion and voting on the Supplementary Demand for Grants for the year 2018-2019; and introduction, consideration and passing of the Nagaland Appropriation (No.1) Bill, 2019.
Further, the assembly will introduce government resolution / motion, if any; present reports/rules, if any; present finance accounts and appropriation accounts; and present assembly committee reports, if any.
The government will also discuss government resolutions and motion and adoption, present the budget. There will be general discussions and Voting on Demand for Grants for the year 2019-2020 besides introducing, considering and passing the Nagaland Appropriation (no.2) Bill, 2019; announcement of the constitution of various financial and non-financial committees and panel of chairman by the speaker, the DIPR stated.
The assembly will also engage any unfinished business before the adjournment of the session, the updates stated.
