Dimapur, June 24: A three-day children Vacation Bible School (VBS) organised by Sunday School Department of Kohima Liangmai Baptist Church got underway on June 24 in the church premises.
The programme began with words of encouragement by pastor, N Silubo Zeliang, who encouraged the children to dedicate their lives for Jesus, obey their parents and teachers, so that they would learn and be blessed by the Lord. Pastor, N Silubo, also delivered challenging message to the younger generation to make sacrifices for the welfare of the community as and when their service or help is required by the people. He also urged the children to form a habit of respecting the elderly people and to serve them.
The Sunday School Superintendent, Telaknaro Newmai, expressed her gratitude to the pastor and his team for sponsoring generously towards the children ministry in order to mould up the upcoming generation with a hope to see them as the leaders of tomorrow. She also requested all the responsible parents to send their children to the Vacation Bible School which is a very rare event organized during the school holiday.
As per the programme scheduled, Tingwangchun, M. Th., and Paudunlung, M. Div., would be the main speakers during the devotional services. The programme would culminate on June 26.
