Legal fraternity bids farewell to retiring official

Public prosecutor farewell
YT Sangtam along with the legal fraternity members after the farewell programme in Dimapur on December 3.

Dimapur, Dec. 4 (EMN): Office of the Public Prosecutor, Dimapur, bade farewell to retiring public prosecutor YT Sangtam during a programme held at District Court complex on December 3. YT Sangtam retired on November 30.

An update from office stated that judicial officers and staff, prosecution officers and staff, members of Dimapur Bar Association, prosecuting inspector and staff and many others attended the programme.

It stated that public prosecutor T Marlemba chaired the programme, while the invocation prayer was said by assistant public prosecutor Rongseninla Jamir. It also stated that short speeches were delivered by principal district and session judge Y Longkumer on behalf of judicial officers and staff, president of Bar Association Dimapur Imti Imsong on behalf of the association, public prosecutor Hotoi Yeptho on behalf of prosecution officers, additional public prosecutor and vice president of Prosecutors Association Nagaland Keneilie on behalf of the association, and UDA Kenny Kent on behalf of the staff of Public Prosecution establishment.

It added that all the speakers have shared their experiences with the outgoing officer and wished him a peaceful and successful retired life.

Meanwhile, the retiring officer YT Sangtam expressed his good and bad experiences in his 35 years in public service as well as about the system of court then and now. He conveyed gratitude to all the members of legal fraternity.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by special public prosecutor Imlimongla.
