Dimapur, Dec. 20 (EMN): The Konyak civil societies under the aegis of Konyak Union (KU) have decided to appeal to all the Naga political groups to avoid any movement with arms and ammunitions within Mon district jurisdiction.

The decision was taken at an emergency meeting held on Monday, according to a press statement from the KU.

The union stated that any group that disrupts the situation would be “considered as the enemy of Konyaks” and the people of the district won’t be held responsible if any untoward incident happens.

It went on to inform that the union is convening an all Konyak summit on January 18, 2022, to decide the future course of action if its demands are not fulfilled. So, it has requested all the nine Konyak elected members, KU units and branches, Konyak frontal organisations and representatives from every Konyak village to attend the meeting.
