Dimapur, April 25 (EMN): The Kohima Traffic Police conducted a “field seminar” with taxi and bus drivers to promote traffic rules and regulations, on April 25 at the Phoolbari and High School junctions in
Kohima.
The establishment of the Kohima superintendent of police issued a press release on Thursday informing about the event.

Manom Wallim, deputy police superintendent for traffic, and personnel from Traffic control units conducted the event, the press release stated.

They emphasised to the listeners that obeying traffic rules and regulations can help reduce traffic congestion in Kohima besides saving lives of ‘drivers and pedestrians,’ the updates explained.

‘Ignoring the laws and rules of traffic can lead to punishment in the form of fine and imprisonment,’ the officer was stated to have told them.

He urged taxi and bus drivers to abide by the Supreme Court’s direction to not use tinted glasses, bull bars, high beam, LED lights and high frequency horns.

Also, Wallim elaborated the various measures that the Kohima Traffic Police have formulated to easing traffic problems in Kohima, the press release added.
