Dimapur, Jan. 12 (EMN): To facilitate smooth flow of traffic in Kohima town, Kohima Police has issued new traffic regulations for heavy vehicles, which would be enforced with immediate effect till further notice.
In an update, the Kohima superintendent of police, Manoj Kumar A, stated that entry of heavy vehicles into Kohima would be restricted from Khuzama police check gate from 0800 hours till 2000 hours, while the entry of heavy vehicles coming up towards Kohima from Dimapur side would also be restricted from Chapru from 0700 hours to 1700 hours.
The order also stated that entry of heavy vehicles into Kohima town would be restricted from By-pass traffic police booths from 0800 hours till 1800 hours. It further stated that heavy vehicles would be restricted to ply in the Kohima town from 0800 hours till 1800 hours.
The superintendent of police has sought co-operation from all concerned to ensure smooth flow of traffic in Kohima town.
