Kohima launches video on drug-free India campaign

Dimapur, June 8 (EMN): Kohima district Administration e-launched a video on Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan in the conference hall of the deputy commissioner’s office, Kohima, on June 8.

Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan is a campaign under the ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment to achieve drug-free India in 272 most affected districts.

A DIPR report stated that the video on awareness campaign was launched on the official YouTube channel of Nasha Mukt Bharat Kohima by the deputy commissioner of Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie. It added that short clip depicting the real life stories battling the addiction and their testimonies are reflected in the short video.

While taking cognizance of the fact that addressing the problem of addiction requires concerted action at different levels of the government, the DC lauded the Kohima Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan team for producing the short and meaningful clips which, according to him, could be the best form of information dissemination and public awareness to fight against the challenges of drugs and alcohol.

Report added that the team has also set up a de-addiction helpline numbers for anyone who needs help with addiction at ARK foundation (7005430252), Kripa Foundation  (9089273154 and 7085659771) and Youth Mission (9436016536 and 9402813377).
