Khiamniungan Students’ Union Dimapur holds annual session
Dimapur, Dec. 5 (EMN): Khiamniungan Students’ Union Dimapur (KSUD) held its 29th general session-cum-parting social at DImapur town hall on December 1 on the theme ‘Paradigm shift.’
An update stated that the guest of honour and former minister, P Longon, encouraged the students to stay committed and work hard to achieve higher goals in life. He also reminded the students to stay rooted to their culture and traditions and to uphold the dialect of the tribe.
Tsongtsa, PA to MLA Khumo, who spoke on the latter’s behalf, also exhorted the students to continue striving and excel in their respective fields.
The event witnessed two sessions in which the first session was chaired by Dr. Putchong Thai, KSUD president, while K Buche Khiamniungan delivered the welcome address. The president of Khiamniungan Union Dimapur (KUD), L Butang, also spoke on the occasion.
Achievers in various fields were also felicitated by the KSUD on the occasion.
Meanwhile, a new team of KSUD for the tenure 2023-24 was also inducted during the programme. The second session witnessed various presentations from the students’ fraternity.
