Key cabinet meeting on November 26

Dimapur, Nov. 24: Contentious issues ranging from cess on petroleum products to Nagaland Liquor Total Prohibition Act (NLTP), which has been under cold storage, are likely to be taken up for discussion during the cabinet meeting scheduled on Nov. 26 at the residential office of the chief minister at 2:30 pm.

In a circular, the Cabinet Secretary Temjen Toy has requested all the cabinet ministers to make it convenient to attend the proposed meeting.

Among other agenda, the cabinet will discuss aspirational blocks in districts and plastic-free state. Besides, the cabinet will also discuss establishment of sub-divisional offices in Pfutsero and Satakha.

According to the circular, the house will also discuss the creation of one post of sectional assistant and subsequent regularisation of Z Chomung, SA (casual) as per scheme for regularisation and absorption of worked-charged and casual employees, who have completed 30 years of service.

It will also take up discussion on creation of two posts of junior specialist, one post of assistant nursing superintendent and four posts of staff nurse under District Hospital, Longleng; creation of four posts under Government Polytechnic Kohima (GPK), Institute of Communication and Information Technology (ICIT), Mokokchung, and Kelhoshe Polytechnic Atoizu (KPA).

The house is also scheduled to take up discussion on creation of three posts of vice principals for Government Higher Secondary School, Purana Bazaar; Singrijan and Diphupar ‘A’ under school Education department.
