KAAC beat MADC to enter ISPL-2022 semis

The KAAC team in jubilant mood after defeating MADC, Mizoram, 2-1 in the ongoing ISPL-2022 at Dimakuchi mini stadium, Udalguri, on Monday.

Diphu, Oct. 18 (EMN): Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) have entered the semi-finals after defeating Mara Autonomous District Council (MADC), Mizoram, 2-1 in the ongoing the first inter-sixth schedule premier league (ISPL) 2022 organised by Bodoland Territorial Region government at Dimakuchi mini stadium in Udalguri district on Monday.

Bikash Langneh KAAC’s account in the 8th minute and his teammate Kiratpo Tisso scored another goal in the 15th minute.

However, MADC Dicky Vabeihaokhey managed to score a goal against KAAC in the 44th minute.

In the second half, both teams failed to score any goal and despite several attempts by MADC players to even the score, they were frustrated by their rival’s strong defensive tactics. 

Bikash Langneh of KAAC was conferred man of the match and received INR 10,000 award.

Mention may be made, the first ever ISPL-2022 got underway on October 9 and closing ceremony will take place on October 23 at SAI SAG Centre Titaguri in Kokrajhar.

The champion team will receive trophy and INR 3 lakh as cash prize, first runner-up team also will receive trophy and INR 2 lakh and second runner-up a trophy and INR 1 lakh.
