Diphu, May 10 (EMN): The BJP workers of Chinthong Mondal Committee alleged that the Chairman of Agriculture Development Board of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) Augustin Kramsa  violated the party principles by sending a delegation to Chief Executive Member (CEM) of KAAC Tuliram Ronghang to seek his party ticket from Chinthong Member of Autonomous Council (MAC) constituency, West Karbi Anglong for the upcoming KAAC election.

As stated by the State Election Commissioner in Diphu on May 8, the KAAC election would be conducted soon where BJP would be witnessing a large number of ticket seekers for each MAC constituency.

On May 6, Kramsa had sent a delegation from Umlapher, Umrung, Tursa, Havang, Pabang, Jatalang, Musaldang, Umru and Langhonjar of Chinthong MAC constituency to the CEM to seek a party ticket for himself.

Reacting on it, the spokesperson of Chinthong BJP Mondal Committee Semson Rongphar said, ‘a resolution has already been taken in a meeting on December 13 last at Diphu Government boys higher secondary school playground where it clearly stated that that no delegation will be sent by any party workers to CEM or to party higher ups regarding seeking of party tickets. If any party leader is found doing it, then he/she would be termed as party violator and will be removed from party primary membership.”

Kramsa further said that the delegation was sent without the knowledge of the Mondal Committee, Mahila committee, Yuva Morcha and booth committees. He said that the Chinthong BJP Mondal Committee will not tolerate party violators going against party norms and appealed to the party higher ups to cancel Augustin Kramsa from BJP primary membership.
