Dimapur, Jan. 15 (EMN): Taking into account the pace of development taking place in the society, minister of PHED Jacob Zhimomi has reminded the public to always remember the contributions made by past leaders.
Jacob stated this during the centenary celebration of Hovishe Village Aphuwo (1922- 2022) on Saturday as the special guest. The village was formed on January 15, 1922.
Speaking on the occasion, Jacob encouraged the gathering to remember the contributions made by the ancestors adding that nothing would be possible without their dedicated actions. Jacob has termed the event as a milestone journey and expressed his happiness to be a part of the event.
Jacob also expressed his gratitude to the state government for upgrading Niuland to a full-fledged district.
The word of God was shared by Rev. Phughoto Sema, WSBAK executive secretary, while cultural performances were also performed by Aphilo Kuwo and Ayeküle.
The minister also unveiled the jubilee monolith, while the dedicatory prayer was said by Rev. Phughoto Sema. The advisor of Tourism, Art and Culture H Khehovi Yepthomi and MLA Picto Shohe also attended the programme.
