On signing the historic Naga Peace Accord, the hopes and aspirations of the Naga people once again are held high. Thanks to the GOI under the dynamic and bold leadership of Inno, Narandra Modi the Prime Minister of India, and an efficient Interlocutor Inno. R N Ravi and all the past and present leaders of India.Naga people you are going to reap the seeds which you saw in blood, tears and sweats. We hear the freedom bell ringing across the valleys and hills alike but through the blood of the patriots, the proud sons and daughters of the soil, because they knew freedom was too dear to part with and it is freedom that gives meaning to life.
As the crucial moment came, Naga people let’s not forget the Mandate that we have given to our Collective Leadership at 4th Naga Consultative Meeting in the year 2005, being blessed by the Reverends and the text of the declaration handed over to the Collective Leadership by the senior most Reverends. 4th Naga consultative meeting was participated by all the tribal hoho leaders, NGO’s, intellectual Naga’s and prominent Naga citizen across the land and breadth of Nagalim. I vividly remembers the young dynamic Naga youth leader Inno Achumbemo Kikon, the then NSF President who spoke on that auspicious occasion representing the young Naga generation. Our Collective Leadership reiterated that they will accept only an honorable and negotiated settlement.
As we’ve been waiting and praying for the negotiated settlement the moment has come for the Naga’s to pray earnestly for our leaders, especially Inno Isak Chishi Swu and Inno Th. Muivah to grant them good health, wisdom and discerning spirit at this crucial juncture. Naga people let’s not let jealousy, hatred, ism, tribalism overpower us, lest the adversaries will take chances.
