ICFAI University conducts annual NJY Memorial Volleyball tournament

Dimapur, Dec. 7 (EMN): The ICFAI University Nagaland conducted its annual NJY Memorial Volleyball tournament at the university campus on December 6.

The annual event is conducted every year in memory of the founder of the ICFAI group, Late N J Yasaswy, an update stated.

The tournament began with a programme lead by Rovikotuo Yhoshȕ, faculty in-charge of sports, who delivered the opening note.

Temjensangla, Evangelical Union Coordinator of the university, offered a prayer for the tournament after which the Registrar, Rupanka Bhuyan, addressed the players before the commencement of the tournament.

In the tournament held between the four schools of the university, School of Social Sciences defeated School of Humanities in three sets to win the NJY Memorial Volleyball rolling trophy.

Dr. Kevizonuo Kuolie, Associate Dean, along with the registrar, handed out the certificates, medals and trophy to the winning team. Earlier, in an exhibition match played between the faculty and staff of IUN against the IUN Student Council members, the former won the match in two straight sets.
