Hornbill Festival 2022: Zhimomi wins traditional shotput competition

Kisama, Dec 2 (EMN):
Asukha K Zhimomi, representing the Sumi tribe, on Friday won the traditional shotput competition at the ongoing 23rd edition of the Hornbill Festival 2022 at Kisama Naga Heritage Village.

The competition was organised by the state department of Youth Resources and Sports.

Zhimomi won a cash prize of INR 6,000.

Likho Sangma, representing Garo community, stood second and received INR 4000, while Shetha Lohe from Chakhesang tribe won third position and received cash prize of INR 2,000.

A total of 11 participants from various Naga tribes took part in the competition.
