Dimapur, August 18 (EMN): Questioning the high handedness of the Assam Rifles, the GPRN/NSCN through its MIP vehemently condemned the unwarranted pre dawn raids and frisking on its members by ‘the so-called friends of the hill people’.
“The acts of the Assam Rifles are unscrupulous without any rhymes and reasons, creating unnecessary harassment and fear psychosis. When the people are yearning for peace, the Assam rifles are creating problems, which is a liability to the peaceful co-existence between Nagas and GOI,” stated GPRN/NSCN.
GPRN/NSCN said the Assam rifles regular raids on the national workers are nothing but a nefarious design and evil motive to defame the image of GPRN/NSCN.
Reminding the Assam Rifles that the GPRN/NSCN is in ceasefire agreement with GoI, wherein entering into ceasefire agreement with GoI is to show the willingness of the Nagas to solve Indo-Naga political issue through political dialogue, the GPRN/NSCN therefore said it should not be taken for granted.
Further, the GPRN/NSCN asked the chairman of CFSB to direct the Assam Rifles from conducting any further raids and frisking on the members of GPRN/NSCN as the ground rules should be jointly implemented by both the parties.
