Dimapur, May 25 (EMN): President of Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee K Therie stated that the chief minister and UDA were not prepared for solution yet, claiming that they had not told the Central govt. “to go ahead with settlement”. “If any settlement, it will be because of the pressure of the people and the Congress. We have made our stand very clear to Shri RN Ravi the then Interlocutor and GOI,” Therie said.

He maintained that the state govt. is “clear that the people of Nagaland want to implement the Agreed Position of the Working Committee of NNPGs”. He also claimed that they know the Framework Agreement (FA) has ruled out sovereignty and integration. “Therefore, talks for Nagaland have concluded,” he added. Therie also opined that the chief minister must have spoken what Dr. S C Jamir had said ‘if he is for Nagas of Nagaland’.

“BJP Central leaders said ‘Election for Solution’ in 2018, while NSCN (IM) demanded Solution not Election. Both indicated wanting solution and now another five-year term is about end with no opening or clarity. With the words of ‘early solution’, ‘honourable and acceptable solution’ and ‘shall pave the way’; Nagas have been fooled for 25 years,” it stated.
