Gov. and others condole with Longkumer’s family

Dimapur, Nov. 8 (EMN): The PB Acharya has expressed grieve at the demise of Bendangtoshi Longkumer, managing director, NIDC & OSD, Industries & Commerce on Nov. 7 at Delhi.
In a condolence message addressed to his wife, Monalisa Changkija, the governor stated that Longkumer served the Government of Nagaland with dedication and was a fair and efficient bureaucrat.
Governor expressed that his contributions, sacrifices and service to the people for the development of the state will be remembered by all. His demise is a great loss to the people of Nagaland, the message added.
Further, governor conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed to the Almighty to grant strength and solace to overcome grief.
DIPR: The Department of Information & Public Relations (DIPR) has condoled and expressed grief over the untimely demise of Bendangtoshi Longkumer, managing director, NIDC and OSD, Industries & Commerce Department on Nov. 7.
In a message, the DIPR said Longkumer who is the husband of the Editor Nagaland Page Monalisa Changkija, was a dedicated and an efficient government officer. The department prayed for solace and comfort to the family members in this time of grief.
Morung Express: The Morung Express extended their since condolences to Editor Nagaland Page T Monalisa Changkija, whose husband Bendangtoshi Longkumer, managing director of NIDC & OSD, Industries & Commerce, passed away on Nov. 7.
“We are saddened by your sudden profound loss, and our prayers are with you and your family during this time of grief. May your family find comfort knowing that he is at peace,” the condolence message conveyed.
NIGOA: The Nagaland Industries & Commerce Gazetted Officers’ Association (NIGOA) while expressing shocked and sorrow conveyed heartfelt condolences on demise of Bendangtoshi Longkumer, managing director and OSD, Industries & Commerce.
“The fraternity fondly called him, “Sir Ben”, whose contribution to the department as well as the society is enormous. We found him, humble, cheerful disposition, energetic and down to earth in his approach to all. His dedicated works and deeds shall be imprinted in book of our department’s history,” the condolence message stated.
The NIGOA said the passing away of “towering and guiding personality we have lost immensely and the void created shall be difficult to fill.”
The association paid respect to the departed soul. At this hour of grief and sorrow, the NIGOA prayed that the Almighty grant solace and strength to the family to bear the irreparable loss and eternal peace to the departed soul.
Industries & Commerce: The officers and staff of the Department of Industries and Commerce are shocked and saddened to hear the demise of Bendangtoshi Longkumer, “an outstanding and dedicated officer,” OSD to the Govt. of Nagaland, Industries & Commerce Department, Kohima and MD, NIDC Ltd on Nov. 7 at New Delhi after a brief illness .
His presence in the administrative department of the Industries & Commerce was really remarkable who acted as bridge between the department of Industries & Commerce and the government making it easy access towards taking workable decisions at government level for implementation of department related schemes and projects being announced by the concerned ministries, stated a condolence message from Director of Industries & Commerce I Bendangliba.
The departed lamented that his demise has created a vacuum which may be difficult to fill up.
At this hour of grief and sorrow, the department prayed that the Almighty God showers his grace and solace upon the bereaved family and also the departed soul to rest in peace.
Therie: The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Council (NPCC) president K Therie has expressed shock and sadness to learn about the demise Bendangtoshi Longkumer, managing director, NIDC and OSD, Industries & Commerce.
“Being a sincere, dedicated and efficient officer, Late Bendang has contributed immensely to the development of the state and to the uplift of society. It is indeed sad that God chose to call him home when he had so much more to contribute to not only his department but also to the state and society,” the condolence message stated.
Therie expressed that in his demise, the state’s bureaucracy has lost a tall figure and the people will be deprived of his expertise.
All rank and files of the NPCC along with Therie conveyed deepest condolences to the bereaved family and offered prayer that the Almighty God gives strength and comfort.
ANIEF: The All Nagaland Industrial Entrepreneurs Federation (ANIEF) expressed its profound sorrow at the sudden passing away of Bendangtoshi Longkumer on Nov. 7 at New Delhi after a brief illness.
In a condolence note, the ANIEF said Longkumer was an upright and a dedicated officer who served the state government in various capacities over the years. His performance during his last assignment as OSD to the department of Industries & Commerce was commendable, the message added.
The ANIEF said in his demise, the people of Nagaland have lost a great soul and the vacuum created by his death shall be difficult to fill.
The federation conveyed its deepest condolences to near and dear ones of the bereaved family. It also prayed that Almighty God grant them solace and strength to bear the loss and eternal peace to the departed soul.
Tovihoto Ayemi: Parliamentary Secretary of Irrigation & Flood Control, Tovihoto Ayemi is deeply shocked and saddened by the demise of Bendangtoshi Longkumer, OSD to the Govt. of Nagaland and MD, NIDC Ltd.
Ayemi in a message said “Longumer was a very strong yet humble person, always focused and determined in his duties. A leader and mentor to many of his colleagues and all those around him. He was a huge asset to the Govt. of Nagaland and the vaccum created by his absence will be very hard to fill.” He offered prayer for the departed soul to rest in peace.
