Dimapur, Jan. 20 (EMN): Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Thursday laid the foundation stone for a new deputy commissioner’s office complex in Zunheboto.
Speaking during the programme, Rio stated that the government aims to establish a DC office complex in all district headquarters so that all smaller departments can function under one roof, an update from DPRO Zunheboto informed.
He informed that money for Tuensang and Zunheboto district had already been sanctioned, and assured that the funds would be provided on time so that the work is completed on schedule.
Pastor off ZTSBC, Rev. Dr. Daniel Chishi while dedicating the foundation stone expressed his gratitude on behalf of all the Zunheboto citizens.
He also lauded the CM for maintaining a cordial relationship with the Zunheboto district legislatures and for granting the major development to the district. He added that the new DC office complex had been the aspiration of Zunheboto people for the past decades, which has now been fulfilled, it said.
The programme was attended by Advisor for Food and Civil Supplies, Legal Metrology and Consumer Protection and Taxes Pukhayi Sumi, Advisor for School Education, K T Sukhalu, NDPP Zunheboto region party officials, civil society organsiations, GBs and other concerned citizens of Zunheboto.
