Five health centres in Nagaland awarded for outstanding performance
Dimapur, Jan. 28 (EMN): Five health centres in Nagaland were awarded the best performing PMJAY hospitals for the year 2021 on the occasion of 73rd Republic Day celebration on January 26.
In the District Hospital category, District Hospital Mon was awarded the best Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) performing hospital. It received a certificate and cash of INR 50,000.
In the private hospital category, House of Hope in Tuensang was declared the best performing hospital. It received a certificate and cash of INR 50,000.
In the community health centre (CHC) category, CHC Noklak was awarded the best performing centre. It received a certificate and cash of INR 25,000.
In the primary health centre (PHC) category, PHC Mopong was awarded the best performing centre. It received a certificate and cash of INR 10,000.
An update from the directorate of Health and Family Welfare stated that AB-PMJAY, the flagship national programme providing health insurance scheme for deprived households, provides up to INR 5 lakh health insurance cover per household annually through a network of empanelled hospitals across the country, including 99 hospitals in Nagaland.
It added that over INR 33 crore worth of free treatment has been availed by patients from Nagaland under the scheme till date since the scheme was launched in September 2018.
It further stated that hospitals were selected basing on number of beneficiaries provided with free treatment under PMJAY, number of PMJAY Ayushman cards issued, percentage of PMJAY beneficiaries treated vis-à-vis number of inpatients in the hospital, zero grievance and fraud detected etc.
